KANNFINCH recently completed the new commercial fitout for Lloyds Melbourne headquarters. The 1240sqm space includes formal reception and waiting area, office workstations, a café area and informal breakout space for staff, boardrooms and meeting rooms.
One of the key design challenges was the heritage zoning of the site, stipulating a 500mm ‘no build’ zone to the perimeter. As a result, our scheme put circulation corridors in this perimeter zone, allowing the space to be utilised and activated.
Commercial Best Practice green standards were used throughout design and construction of the fitout. Sustainability credentials were an important consideration in material selection as well as planning, with open plan spaces accessible to daylight and views a high priority.
