KANNFINCH provided the urban planning and architectural design for the development of this 27-storey residential development, consolidating the northern end of Kent Street as Sydney’s foremost residential precinct. The development comprises over 11,000sqm of gross floor area, which includes 85 apartments, a 10 level basement carpark, and three swimming pools.
Our design divided the building into a three-storey podium, a tower, and a six-storey upper tier housing two-storey penthouse apartments. The south façade is sculptural in its composition, both to provide visual interest, and to incorporate privacy devices that prevent overlooking from nearby buildings.
One of the key design challenges was fitting the required car parking onto the comparatively small 725sqm site, which was solved by using twin car lifts.
